PDF/XPlus v3 (or APPM specifications) is the international standard for the delivery of advertisements for magazines (also see http://pressemagazine.com/documentation-technique/).
The entire Roularta Media Group keeps up this standard. Therefore we prefer receiving Certified PDF/X Plus v3 files.
Minimal Software requirements for PDF creation.
- Adobe Acrobat Distiller 7/8/9/X
- QuarkXPress 7.2 for direct export
- Indesign CS 2 for direct export

New naming:
MAGAZINES = MagazineAds_1v3
- new joboptions: MagazineAds_1v3.joboptions
- new profile PDF: MagazineAds_1v3.ppp
- new direct export settings CS2/CS3/CS4/CS5: MagazineAds_1v3_IND4.joboptions
Attention : these are from InDesign CS2 onward joboptions as well. Because of the central management of the joboptions, you will see them as well in Distiller 7/8/9/X as in all CS2/CS3/CS4/CS5 applications, but it is very important to select the correct joboptions specific for InDesign CS2/CS3/CS4/CS5 and not to use those from Distiller 7/8/9/X in InDesign CS2/CS3/CS4/CS5 !!!
Therefore a clear distinction in the naming of the joboptions is made:
_1v3.joboptions = only to be used in Distiller 7/8/9/X
_1v3_IND4.joboptions = only to be used for InDesign CS2/CS3/CS4/CS5 direct export.
